Beginner's Guide :)

By: Sphinx. and Teleia.

Haypi terms to know:
 •Title - your title is your level basically, without using numbers. (example: the title 3rd baron is equivalent to level 4)
 •Prestige - haypi's equivalent to experience or EXP
 •Occupy - to occupy is to attack an oasis*, fort*, or city and gain control of it by winning the battle.
 •Hunt - hunting is EXTREMELY important. Send your troops to hunt in an oasis* whenever you aren't using them by going to the map, tapping any unoccupied oasis*, tapping enter, tapping hunt, and selecting the number of troops to send. If you don't hunt your troops and you leave them in your city, you are likely to be attacked and wiped*** by another player.
 •Oasis* - the wood, stone, iron, and crop spaces on the map controlled by NPC (unless occupied by another player) that you can attack in an attempt to occupy in order to gain higher resource income per hour.
 •Fort - Fortified point. Also controlled by NPC unless occupied by another player. Forts give you hourly money income, but it is more profitable for players to farm** forts for resources rather than occupy them.
 •**Farming - to farm is to attack a fort or another player's city for no reason other than to take their resources. Farming active players is generally looked down on by the majority of the community, and can be dangerous if they have an army big enough to kill yours.
 •Cropping - to crop someone means you steal their crop oasis by simply attacking it and winning the battle. This is majorly frowned upon by the community.
 •Starve - your troops require crop to survive. If your city's crop hits 0, a percentage of troops in that city will die(starve), and continue to die off until your crop income is at 0 or above. The troops that don't initially die off will return to the city where they are vulnerable to attack.
 •***Wipe - when you are wiped, it means someone attacked and killed your entire army.
 •Pin/pinning - to pin someone is to send a single unit attack at someone's city. The best way to pin is to send one cat from your farthest city so the attack will take as long as possible to arrive. The purpose behind pinning is to prevent the victim from moving that city on the map and selling/transporting resources in the city (because while under attack you are unable to do those things).
 •Fair hit - A fair hit is when you attack a player because, after scouting that person, you saw they had troops in their city. If you crop someone and cause their troops to starve out THEN attack them, then it's considered an unfair hit.
Training Troops:
 Each Soldier has a different set of attributes (Attack, Defense, Speed, Overload [The amount of resources a unit can carry], and Health). Each unit rewards different amounts of prestige when trained or defeated. The following is a table of the attributes and prestige. (the amount of prestige gained from training troops slightly decreases as you advance titles- this table only shows the default prestige gained per unit)

Troop      Prestige   Attack  Defence
Infantry        1          75           75
Archer          2          60           25

Lvl 10 Traps Can Kill

For lower levels I would suggest training only small amounts of troops- only the minimum you'll need to take small oases to increase your resource income. Building large numbers of troops in the beginning is not advised because the resources(which aren't easy to come by at the start) are needed to upgrade your buildings.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
•Techs You should Get:
8-10 Scout (so players can't scout your resources or get an accurate troop count)
10 marching (speed is the most important attribute)
10 shooting (if you use cats or archers)
^^^^^^^These are Your first^^^^^^^
     You obviously want them all, but these are the most important.
Much love -
