i am posting this as an appendice for the guide i am currently working on. i think some may find it useful.

I cannot find the information anywhere, but does anyone knows how stats affect troops exactly?
I know there are factors depending on which unit attack which, but I simply used Cats on fort troops and got the following results:
I was using 3,659 cats and Killed 2,473 cavs round1 and 9,768 soldiers each time on round 3, 4, 5.

I don't think there's a linear relationship between defense and attack because basically:
1 cat kills 2.67 soldier
1 cat kills 0.68 cav
I want to find what damage 1 cat does, so I look at:
(150+75)*2.67 = 601 for soldiers and
(500+175)*0.68 = 456 for cavs

you can try to add a factor in each equations in front of the defense of each unit, 75*X for soldiers and 175*X for cavs such that both equations give the same result, that gives a negative value for X which doesn't make sense.

If you do:
2.67*150 = 400 for soldiers
0.68*500 = 338 for cavs
So indeed the cats did less damage to the cavs then to the soldiers, but the relationship between defense and attack does not seem linear.

Well long story short, if any knows for sure and tested the formulas, i'd love to know. Thank you!

i dont know for sure the exact linear equation, however, i do know that it is linear. ive seen the equation before, and its different then you think.

they lump the number of soldiers you have together, then they tally the number of soldiers times each individual soldiers defense. then techs are calculated, along with attribute. then they correspond attacking attack strength to the corresponding defenders defense, and vice versa. the attack thats higher than the defense of the other, comes up with loss on the smaller number. the number of troops lost is taken by figuring the amount of attack power that wasnt absorbed, then dividing that by each individual troops defence, and it comes up with a number lost.

it sounds confusing while written out, and an example would be easier followed. however, i assure you, its linear, theres just more than 1 variable involved in the calculation.

Also don't forget that the defending unit has their life score factored into the equation.
It's a real shame that the formulas for this game are kept such a secret. I suppose support has their reasons for this, however.

The numbers you see above are cut and dry. No matter what your tech level, attribute rating or equipment rating, you will be able to know exact modified ratings of each unit. Try determining your modified defense for a unit, and adding it's life rating (found in the barracks) for am accurate estimate of how much damage they can withstand.

Likewise you can determine your attack in the same way to understand how much damage your units will deal.

There are infinitely more uses for the numbers above as any tactic involving your attributes can be created or reverse engineered using this list.
