Guide to Mapping the Forts in Your Area

This guide is for those who are beginning to fort farm. Instead of just randomly scanning around in a hit and miss fashion, if you make a comprehensive sweep of every fort within a certain distance one time you will have all the information you need to fort farm whenever you want to. I would recommend putting this information into a spreadsheet (like Excel), that way afterwards you can sort it more easily. But if you don’t have a spreadsheet you can just use notepad, but you will have to sort the information manually. The goal is to have a list something like this:

Distance, Level, City, Coordinates

0.17, 1, Town 1, 123/123
0.17, 2, Town 3, 123/123
0.24, 1, Main, 123/123
0.24, 3 Town 2, 123/123
0.39, 1, Town 3, 123/123
1.03, 3, Main, 123/123
1.28, 2, Town 1, 123/123
1.42, 3, Town 2, 123/123

So, open your map, starting with your main city. Touch each fort that you see (or whatever levels you are interested in) and write down the coordinates, level, distance and city name. Then swipe to the right twice (2 swipes is one complete page turn) and repeat, adding the new forts. Keep going until you get to a predetermined distance (I stopped at about 6 and a half minutes). Then swipe down twice, write down the forts and start going to the left. Keep going back and forth like a typewriter until you can’t move right or left without passing your predetermined distance. You are now at the extreme bottom of your circle.

Now go back to your city and start over, this time going left first and then up (instead of right and down). When you finish this time you will have mapped all of the forts within your preferred distance. You may also want to start with all the forts under a certain level (say Level 3) for now and come back and add higher level forts when you are able to take them. Do all this for your sub cities as well.

Now that you have made a comprehensive list, you need to sort it by distance. If you put this into a spreadsheet it’s easy. If you used notepad, you’ll have to do it manually. After you have it sorted by distance you can put this information into your favorites list and quickly go to all the forts in your area starting with the closest one. I then check them off one by one on my spreadsheet so that I can quickly see which forts I have recently attacked and which ones I have not, then start over when the first one has rebuilt itself. Now, since there’s not much room in favorites, I condense it, like this:

F1 0:17 T1
F2 0:17 T3
F1 0:25 MC
Etc.

I know all this sounds a little complicated, but if you do it once it will really pay off later and make fort farming faster and systematic.

When I say write it down, I mean in notepad on your computer. I write it down before adding to favorites so that I can order them by distance in my favorites. Then, when I am ready to attack, I just start with the closest fort (of a given level) and work my way down the list.

Re: Guide to Mapping the Forts in Your Area

I don't do it this way. I am pretty shure forts change places and lvls. I just go around and If I find a fort I hit it. Can someone confirm. Do forts change places and lvls?
