Re: Expert Swifts Haypi Guide :)

I have a question about this table:
•Range for catapults
Shooting range   Level tech
1100                 0
1116                 1
1132                 2
1148                 3
1164                 4
1180                 5
1196                 6
1212                 7
1228                 8
1244                 9
1260                 10
1300                 Lvl 9 turrets
1350                 Lvl 10 turrets

Ingame the range of catapults is listed as 800, not 1100. So I suppose these numbers are wrong? And I can't find the range for turrets ingame. Could someone enlighten me? I'd like to know what level of turret I can attack.

the range of turrets is what is shown in the table.

also, you need atleast two levels higher shooting tech on your cat, than they have on their turrets, in order to come close to winning. either that, or have a butt load of cats..... i mean alot. to take on all level ten turrets, it will take like 13k cats, atleast.

Re: Expert Swifts Haypi Guide :)

If the range if turrets is as shown in the table, then catapults have far less then a turret. Since it says ingame whem I buy one that they have range 800. So I'm generally confused here about what the range is.

Guess my question should be: why is the range of catapults listed as 800 in the barracks if they have 1100 range in a fight?

Edit: typo&clarifecation

1100 is battlefield length, 800 is still the range.

battlefield length = unit with the highest range on the field + 300.

Re: Expert Swifts Haypi Guide :)

their range is only 800 in the fight. the additional 300 points are how to calculate the field length. the field length is 1100. so if your turrets are 1350 range. add 300 to that to get the field length. whats nice is that turrets still have the farther range, so once you move your cats, the turrets have you before you have them.

people use battlefield length to determine how far they can move before being hit. then they calculate their own range, and speed. if their speed is 149, they can move 2 times before being hit.(because they have a distance of 300 before in range.) after that range plays a big part in who loses the most.

Re: Expert Swifts Haypi Guide :)

so then what are the ranges of turrets and what are the ranges of cats..
the insinuation is that the range of cats are 300 less that on the chart??
so what are the range for turrets??

Re: Expert Swifts Haypi Guide :)

sorry for the confusion..

assume the attacker is lvl 1

what would set the field length, the defenders shooting or his turret skill

if its shooting then you would want turret skill to always be higher then shooting..
if i have lvl 10 turrets and a poor shooting this would pull any attacker closer
if his shooting was equally poor..

???? i dont dont know what im talking about lol.. it would be easier to see a table for each and then just add the 300 to the shooting for field length...

sorry for not understanding... thanks

the field length is determined by range. ad 300 to whatever unit has the longest range, so whatever the longest range is on the field, add 300 and that is the field length.
