I don't find archers useless in the slightest. I use a cav army and the archers help with many things. It clears a row of turrets while the turrets are focused on my cav on the first move allowing the cave to hit the second row. The cav sometimes clear two rows of turrets with one attack as well. Also, when cats move forward to bait an attack by cav, then move backwards when the cav get close, the cav stop where the cats were previously. Archers will put heavy dents in their cats if you carry a lot of them, like me. The enemy will likely be too worried about the cav to hit the archers. Not much damage from a small amount of archers, yes, but they're only worth two and if you move forward against cats that are moving forward, you'll find that most of the time, the archers will hit first. Despite what many initially see about cats having a ton more range. Cats are slow. I still use cats, but only for farming forts. Just as a note.

Hey I've only tested this once so far, but I saw that it gave me 2.55 prestige per Archer I made. I'm level 6 right now and Ill continue to try this but I fairly certain this is accurate.

The way I tested it was just looked at my prestige before I started training and then directly after (because it gives you the prestige right after you start training).
I had 4010 prestige then 4061.

i'm just trying to help with your awesome guide. By the way I liked your guide even though I dont have much use for alot of the info right now :/

As a side note to archers i've gained approximately 700k prestige using about 20k inf, 10k cav, lots of archers, and 3500 cats. the cats got slaughtered because i accidentally left them out, but i maneuvered them to kill 16k cav before dying so i lost no prestige. he was waiting to go forward for when i got within range not realizing I was baiting him for a backwards movement that he wouldn't be able to hit until i couldn't go backwards anymore.
I oddly enough haven't needed to use more than 50k archers yet. The attack is a ton faster than using cats when you drop too. Cats and Cav in high numbers are pretty sure wins, but ones slow and the other is too boring to just watch them plow people. Don't use archers as a main force unless you're at least level 16 and have a backup plan for a lot of cavs hitting you. Archers can hit cats first or the battle will wait out.

Youve done a good job here and it's good to refer back to something like this.. I'm on server 1 SirLuva lvl 17.. i've had a few inconsistencies in battle which i can't get my head round at times.. e.g the amounts of prestige lost and gained thru battle and how this is worked out... Do you know a simple way of explaining this to me as i must be a bit dense lol
