Re: Hunt guide

Very impressive copy and pasting!!! This guide gas been aroundlong before you started spamming useless posts
Btw Nathan support released that hunting guide that roclee gave and it does not work :( dunno where 90hrs came from. 12 seems like the best harvest your gonna get.
Also I heard(I do not know this as a fact) that if you are trying to get ex. a gem try to get around 12k money, and fortune should help convert it to treasure.

From theese hunts i got 14k and 18,5k money but no treasure. The money i got was far not enough for the treasures i should have got. Anothertime i had 100k inf hunting for a lvl 15 manual and this time i got a medal. This formula probably works if you have max marching skill and lvl 15 horse and manual enhanced to lvl 20 but i dont think so.
As said from my first hunt with 50k inf i got 18,5k money and from 100k inf i got a medal wich is worth 20k npc i guess its better to take ways bigger troops but not for such a long time like 90 hours

I have been testing the 90 Hr hunt out too..

I have HUNTING troops purpose built to test theories...

I beleive the guide posted by roc works on certain situations.. Its best to pull in a hunt on a high level oasis... I also find that if you start on a zero its unlikely that its been hunted b4.. then within 90 hrs it grows higher. Try hunting in oasis in remote out of the way places.

Hunting is never accurate on what u can gain, and its kinda gamble because you can never be sure another player hasnt already claimed something from them oasis.

It also depends where u hunt, stone, crop, wood iron... try different ways and levels...

Re: Hunt guide

Don't fall into a line of thinking that an oasis' level denotes whether it has been hunted in lately. When you hunt in a lv0 oasis, it has been less than 24 hours since it was a lv7 oasis. A lv7 oasis is a higher value that is more likely to be hunted in than a lv0 that you see now.
The best way to be sure an oasis has not been hunted in recently, is to hunt in an oasis that you have occupied. Tell your alliance mates not to hunt in your oases and you will always have a fresh oasis to hunt in.
Another method is to hunt oases that are very far removed from anyone elses cities.

One thing that has always been neglected when testing the oasis value hunt theory is whether or not the value of the oasis WHEN you hunt is used, or the oasis value WHEN you harvest said hunt is used. Besides, this hunt formula was never completely accurate and seems very outdated now.

Re: Hunt guide

You're guide is not an epic fail by any means. There is useful info contained in it.

Read through the replies and other threads, compile your new data and edit the guide to be more accurate. One thing to remember about writing a guide is not to post assumptions. People hold great credence to the guide section, naturally.

One thing you said was:
Roclee wrote:People always wanna know how to get a better hunt. Here are tips which
may help you.
The money you get from a hunt is
(cav no. 300
+inf no. 150
+archer no. 125
+cat no. 50)  total second hunted / oasis value

The oasis value mentioned in this formula was not the level of the oasis, rather a numerical value assigned strictly for the formula. Though I believe it to be inaccurate, I'll post it anyway:

Oasis level: 0
Value: 400, 000

1
388, 888

2
366, 666

3
344, 444

4
322, 222

5
300, 000

6
288, 888

7
266, 666

8
244, 444

9
222, 222

So what you do is use the value assigned to the corresponding level instead of the oasis' ACTUAL level.

You may experiment with this, but support has been clear in the past that oasis level DOES NOT affect harvests. The governing factors are 1)troop speed 2) amount of troops 3)how recently the oasis has been hunted in 4) the length of time you hunt for (support suggests 8-12 hours) 5) fortune (fortune is only used AFTER a hunt is determined successful, to convert harvested money into a treasure item)

Don't be dismayed. Hunting is one of the biggest secrets in this game and always has been. Many have attempted to get to the bottom of this and failed.

Edit: on second thought, I didnt realize this was not your guide! I may have incorrectly quoted you.....would you post a link for it, please?

A link? Umm I am unsure what you mean. I simply copied and pasted this from a letter sent to me during a PVP tournament.

Re: Hunt guide

I think forums is just a waste of time... Cause each of us say whatever... Ppl who posted thousand of post believe they r right on whatever they say and all the rest r stupid.
The best thing is Haypi developers to tells what r the formulas... The 'support' under the Help (FAQ) they have is for kids...
