Crashing

Need some tips to help keep your game from crashing? Here are a few.

First, be sure to reboot your phone once in a while. Once a week at least. Just like your computer.
Next, it's always best if you keep it synched regularly and keep your firmware up to date. Some of us like me have an older phone and don't want iOS5 yet, but I may try it soon to let you know how it goes.
Keep your software up to date. Check the iTunes store periodically and keep your Haypi Kingdom app updates downloaded. Bug repairs are released from time to time.
Also, if you are using iOS4 or higher, and especially if you're on an older phone, you should try not to let too many apps run in the background. They eat up RAM memory that Haypi could be using instead! Without free RAM, it will crash when it gets too clogged up. So double tap home and then hit the minus to shut down things you're not using any longer to free up phone memory.
Last but not least, close down Haypi and release it from memory just like the above every once in a while. It will prevent untimely crashes. Do it yourself when the time is good, lol.

Keeping things closed out of memory has drastically improved my game performance! Hope some of this helps you too!

Re: Crashing

I do those things as well. Haypi still crashes from time to time for no reason. I've usually been able to get back in and command when it crashes during an attack.

Re: Crashing

Sup crashers,

Crashing has only one main reason, believe me. Too many buggs in the app. But they are working on it, it runs a lot better past months.

Also Haypi dragon crashes from time to time. But that doesn't bother me. Still both in my personal rank 3 of the best game apps for Iphone users.

But in addition to this guide, also the smart phone you use makes a difference in number of crashes/day. My Iphone 4s, performs better than on my 4. it only crashes ones a week on my side. My gf still has a 4 and her kingdom is crashing more frequentely lol.
So buying a 4s might help as well :)

Re: Crashing

Actually there is some truth to what hes saying..

You know how every once in a while your internet slows down so bad that you have to go "empty cache" or "delete cookies"?

When you have an app continuously running it slowly saps the RAM on your IOS device (happens worse for iphones, or atleast more noticeably). Rebooting your phone resets the RAM, or atleast deletes all the data that the phone was storing while being operational. Theoretically it leads to smoother functioning all around.

Theoretically.

She ^_^ But yeah. As I posted, this has really helped me out. Of course it is not possible to prevent all crashes, but it has helped.

Re: Crashing

well i have been kicked out of haypi for "communication delays" and have bee wiped because i harvested a hunt. I had no apps in the background i rebooted (because my ipod was shut off before i came on and thats rebooting). Personally i think that these crashes, force closes and communication delayeds should be delt with first before any other type of update.

Re: Crashing

Communication delays are network problems and have nothing to do with the software related issues I was posting about. But, I do agree, those can be very frustrating!

Like Aren said, the "Communication Delayed - please check your network connection blah blah" is really your own wi-fi/3G's fault.
