A different way to establish records

Please think of a different way to establish the records for each level. I'm not even certain of the value of this feature as really what it tracks is who got there first with a high level dragon. That is, if you were one of the first players on the server, then odds are you got a record.

Not sure what i'd suggest as a replacement but just saying the current system is meaningless.

Maybe they could be purged once a month? once every three months? Try tracking who clears a level the fastest?

How about the score using different dragons? or a combined score of all dragons? That would encourage people to level up their dragons so as to be able to play them to clear levels.

Re: A different way to establish records

Ha i agree with both of you and both of you have good points.
Sadly i doubt haypi will put this to affect because this would take some time to go back and add on..
I personally would prefer more lvls to battle then redo the same ones just to set a record ;)

I disagree there are many records that I broke when I was low level based on superior stratagem beating people with twice my level and people with lower level continue to beat my current records and I have to go back and do better.

Re: A different way to establish records

By the way last time I checked I held 40 records on server 5 and it's constant work to keep my name on the boards. So it continues to be fun and challenging even on world 1 levels.

Yes, but the problem being...

There is a finite amount of "Damage" you can break for a finite amount of points
A finite amount of "Blood" "Rate" "Damage" "Kill" etc... so it does become a case of who got there first after a while. Maybe not in the beginning, but i can assure you that's pretty much the case with most records on Server 5 now.

So, that there is a concrete maximum number of points you can get for a level, make it a very stale and, in my humble opinion, boring way of establishing records. It is not dynamic in any sense of the word.

I think Haypi can do a much better job of making the establishment of records a more interesting aspect of the game.
