Post Count

I just want to say, a large reason I've been offline recently (besides from being busy) is because I'm quite disgusted with what's been going on here; there are so many who come to these forums to get a high post count to become an Expert or a Moderator.

It really makes me irritated when I see a productive post on a thread, then one player completely unnecessarily reiterating why it is important; then another player repeating the word "hence" which was used in the first unnecessary post to say that (s)he would have said the same thing...

And when a player has a question, those 2 or 3 who answer at the same time and give the essential information are great, but then there are those who copy what has been said and just post it again. Some copy and post it again with an infinitesimal addition so it looks like it's useful.

You all know who you are who do this; please just stop, and make the forums more what they're made for: a fun place to be and chat with friends as well as legitimately help others.

This is kinda true....But I don't really see people who do this staying a lot...

And I see that you don't want to say names but.....I haven't really seen many people who do this...

Kind of like what Nathan just did there?

However I agree with you Arythy. To be quite blunt, post count means nothing. If you have something useful to post then by all means do or at least some what relevant. There are times though when that could be overlooked for the sake of not scaring everyone away :)

Re: Post Count

Off-topic replies still have to relate to the subject in question o.O

I would like if everyone would read what Arythy said. I remember warning someone for doing exactly that, and got quite a horrible reply.. It's starting to become spam, yet people get angry when you ask them to stop.. (Most experts would recognise this from world chat)
Honestly, post count doesn't get you an expert/mod spot, it's quality over quantity - always.

Anyways, if there's someone who has both quality and quantity (that I've seen up to now), it's Shadetale & Nathan..

Re: Post Count

no posting in off-topic should not increase your post count, it is very strange... as it is not increasing mine.
