Well stearing this back on topic...
As Adina's pointed out and I said something similar somewhere else on forum, any organisms main purpose is to live, possibely breed, then eventually die, we were merely born to survive and keep our species alive. We will die and that's a fact that weighs down more on us the longer we think and our hearts beat. However, in this short time granted to us, we must eat, drink, and make something of ourselves like every species on earth deserves to. However, to do so we must cut short the life of another thing in order to use the energy from the sun that drives earth. We HAVE to kill to survive, it's the circle of life, and when we die (atleast how we used to before coffins) we ourselves would be use by nature and returned to the earth to start the foodcycle by growing plants. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. However, animals and plants besides humans have the same right as well. Though it may seem insignificant to us as "higher beings," animals also have families and though perhaps not as complex as ours, thoughts and emotions. If we were not at the top of the food chain and our lives were spent, never knowing what it's like to really live, really feel, we would be just like any factory farmed creature. So, the solution you might say, is for everyone to let animals go free and we all becomes vegens? Let me tell you, that wouldn't be any better. Overpopulation of all the animals we used to eat, and not enough leafy greens for all the herbivores. Famin you say? No, that wouldn't happen. Because most of us not using any animal products would die in winter for lack of food, warmth, etc. So basically, we just need to totally change the system we have now to prevent this abuse. How, you ask? One as insignificant as myself cannot possibely answer that question anytime soon. But we cannot keep depriving these animals of their right to really. LIVE, not just survive.
