Haypi's game strategy has COMPLETELY changed. Now it's all about alliances and the mines... Personal prestige that contributed to the alliance no longer matters.
I find this rather bothersome... I enjoyed the game when it was about the pp attacks and such.

But in a way that does make the game better. Now it's less about some people simply buying their way through the game and more about working together. Haypi by original design had a significant game play flaw (like many similar games) where a user could simply just buy their way to the top. That's super lame from a player's perspective as it's basically devoid of skill (clearly a marketing major is running this game). With the focus now on team work, the individualistic desire to simply buy one's way to the top dramatically decreases. I give major props for this but at the same time there are just so many bugs it's not even funny.

But now with the new alliance thing, it kinda forces people to donate and attack as a team (even though only Vices and Leaders can do that).
For any non-members it probably feels like they can't do much except donate and give money. :/

The graphics are nice, but they do kill my battery... I must imagine it must be tons worse who have a lower generation iPod...(I have a 3g)

Hmm, shall play some more before I write some more stuff up... This is all I have observed so far with the new update.

I agree (Mostly).

I feel That the update was GREAT!......In everything but alliances.

Alliance ranking based on "Alliance pres" No way!! Just think of Pvp!
The "Top" alliance will only be about how much (Coins) gets donated.
Start of severs? For weeks Every alliance will be ranked 1.

And again. Whats up with all this alliance things? It doesn't get you anything in-game.

I was also Hopeing that they would add new achievements.

Looks like a lot of people will move to Haypi Adventure when it comes out.

Well... With all this alliance stuff I see NO benefit in having an army over 0/20000/0/0 just to farm people and donate resources :P

Well I wouldn't say that is their "flaw" more like their business plan. Ever since the whole "micro-transactions" thing took off people have been "buying their way to the top" because that is what the point is really.

Regardless I don't see how this changes anything. The people that were blowing money are still going to be the ones blowing money, more of it is just probably going to go to alliance stuff. I've got to agree with the others that this is a bad movie on haypi's part (don't even get me started on the bugs. I still can't get on without jumping through major hoops). :|

Re: How did haypi do with 3.0?

I honestly hope there isn't alliance war in pvp. That completely defeats the purpose. Pvp should be an individual thing to test the skill of an individual commander.

Alliance war and pvp going together... Won't work. How would they hand out prizes for a start?
