Archers

Should archers have more range that catapults?

It will bring archers a proper role on the battlefield.

Archers

Okay just a random thought but, we all know Archers are pretty much the only troop class that have no stable role on the battlefield. They're always the outcast and also the class that nobody fears. So I've been thinking, why not just up the range on them to being slightly more that catapults? Maybe even have the same range as lvl 10 turrets?

Re: Archers

In reality, archers can't shoot as far as catapults.

However I think that archers should be able to kill one inf per archer.

Then they'd be useful.

Re: Archers

I try to compare the troops to reality, but then I look at it and say that catapults eating more than double the crops than all of the other living troops isn't very realistic. Lol

Re: Archers

I like this or something similar.

And realistically, catapults wouldn't be nearly as accurate and wouldn't be so powerful

Re: Archers

Yup, Archers are suppose to be sharpshooters. In a sense they are like a sniper in the old days. The way catapults are in this game, they are like a shotgun with extended range.

Re: Archers

Catapults don't eat food, the crew required to man them does. It would easily take 10 men a catapult to operate effectively. Longbows would have had a longer range then cats, but wouldn't be too accurate at that distance
