City Addition
A new section added to the main cities providing room for expansion and new buildings offering new and fun content for the players. There could be any kind of new buildings in the new area. Here's some I thought would be most fitting:
• Fairgrounds
The Fairgrounds would offer players something to do during the slow times in Haypi and even offer them the chance at winning some in game gold.
- The Fairgrounds could be the home to weekly jousting tournaments and competitions of the sort that players could bet on. The gold players bet would be put into a pool and the winners would have the gold split amongst them. The pool could also be created by pulling the 10% sales tax from the Marketplace.
- The Fairgrounds could also be home to several mini games. Nothing fancy, just small chance games such as *Higher or Lower and *Guess the Symbol. A small cost of 5 gold to play and your winnings can increase each time you win a round but if you lose, you lose it all.
*Higher or Lower - The player is shown a number and has to choose whether the next number shown will be higher than that number or lower.
If a player is shown a 5 and they guess higher they will win if it's 6+ but lose of it's lower 4 or lower. In the event the same number is shown again the player just guesses again.
Guess the Symbol - There could be 5 symbols to choose from that players would have to guess which will pop up. Once the player has guessed the symbol will pop up, if it matches what they guessed they win, if not they lose.
• Cathedral
The Cathedral could offer players differen benefits at the price of coins or gold. If the benefit costs 5 coins it would cost 15,000 gold. Only one of the available benefits could be used if you're a normal player, 2 if you're VIP+. Benefits could include, but are not limited to:
*Build Time Decrease - All buildings are built 5-10% faster while active.
*Hunting Increase - Harvests from hunts are increased by 5-10%
*Skill Increase - A 1 point increase to any skill of your choice
*Stat Increase - A 5 point increase to any stat of your choice
*Training Increase - Units train 2 seconds faster per unit OR Units take fewer resources to train.
•Treasury
The Treasury could offer players a place to store their gold. Gold stored in the Treasury could gain interest over time by 2% a day or 16% a week depending on how long you choose. Once gold is deposited it cannot be withdrawn for either 24 hours or 168 hours depending on how long you chose to let it mature for interest.
There are other possibilties of buildings that could be added but I find that these would be the most beneficial to players and the nicest to have.
