Chat sensor

Sorry if this is redundant and has been said already but I have to get this out. I'm sire this is probably a hard task that is still being worked on but cab we please get a filter that censors ONLY the bad words and not just the bad words within good words.

Re: Chat sensor

Well, I do agree that there are a few instances of where the filter can be improved, but you've got to remember that it's incredibly difficult to try and program what a word means when it's said versus the actual word.

There are so many various of words across so many different cultures that can possibly mean something vulgar that it would be an impossibility to get them all. And if they tried, most of your conversations in chat would like this:

"Hey Mint, **** with you **** and did **** get ***** without ****?"

Re: Chat sensor

Yeah I understand fully that is very hard, once in a seminar/class I was placed with task of making a censor, I didn't heed the best results. It's just something that I wanted to keep in the back in supports' minds so I'm sure they know it's small priority.

Re: Chat sensor

changing the filter would actually be an easy task. but haypi is busy with other stuff. all that is required is them to change the loose to tight onwords.>.>

Re: Chat sensor

the actual words you put in the filter is easy, but the complications of which words to put in and how to put them in (with spaces, or without, special characters, etc) is what makes the task so cumbersome.

The problem is the tendency for the human brain to autocorrect misspellings or fill in missing letters from words.
