Update... feedback

I will try to keep this feedback positive. Know that I work with a lot of programmers and I get this "I have something better..." line from programmers. -Which typically means "I can't figure out how to do that, so here is my feeble attempt to convince you why you should like this" -which this update seems.

First I'll let the darkness slip, however it is too dark

The background in the chat areas and the market need to be cleaned up and lighter as well. As I scroll it feels like I have rubbed my screen in a mud puddle and is dirty. I get the design, but text has to be legible and clear first. Grunge design is like the music and Kurt Cobain -dead. moving on

Now functionality.
Before the chat lagged, now the market lags. Both are important but one is more important than the other. Pick, either you are a game with a chat, or a chat with a game. (I would suggest going with: game with chat)
-I go to market the wood list shows up the rest do not or rock and iron show up and nothing else. this tells me bad code. -same thing use to happen with chat, i would go to chat and it would act like it was loading and when it was done nothing shows up. I have to hit the resource button a couple times to get it to load the list.

There are plenty of suggestions in the suggestion area. While I think many are good, you need to fix functionality of the game first. BUT if the suggestion area is not going to be used on your end, remove it from the forum, because you are wasting player's time, your bandwidth, diskspace and pissing people off when changes are not made. -i.e. person to person trades, battle updates, troop updates, collapsible text boxes, better security on accounts, etc... I want the game to navigate clearly, pretty pictures are great, but more than that, I want functionality.

Overall this update seems like a "Marketing VP" who didn't know what they were doing and wanted to "make it pretty" -and struggled at doing that job. -OR- even worse, you have programmers being designers.

Re: Update... feedback

Alliance wars will be coming in 2.1 AT THE EARLIEST. not garunteed so don't spread around. And I don't believe anything else but typo fixes has been garunteed in 2.1 so don't spread unconfirmed rumors around please.

Re: Update... feedback

That's what happened in the 2.0 chats where people started minor rumors that spread to the whole game. That's why everyone is disappointed besides the obvious lag. I couldn't even open chat up until I deleted the app. But good suggestion about clearing up functionality

Re: Update... feedback

Did you hear?

They are adding a no limit person to person trade feature!

Also, there is a new alliance warehouse.

And don't forget that haypi is giving out 1 million free coins to each player.

Yup.

/end sarcasm

This update has dissapointed me, like all the other updates since I've been playing. You can say good effort on Haypi, but, I'm thinking:

Wtf. Why did it take so long to develop a copied looking UI from other app games (like that one about coliseums and greek/roman stuff) or why did they spell alliance wrong "Allience" for alliance chat?

I don't even bother getting my hopes up for this game anymore. (Of change)
Now this is a story all about how YOUR life got flipped, turned upside down, and I'd like a minute so, sit and be merry, I'll tell you how I became the Mother F***ing Gary.

Re: Update... feedback

Ive read through almost all the other suggestions, and didn't find this one so I'll add:

In 1.9 version, I liked the fact that you could tell which scouting reports you've read in mail module because last message read stayed highlighted (bright blue). With 2.0 that's gone, so it's a little more difficult when you have 20 scouting reports, to see where you left off ?(at a glance). Just me?

Re: Update... feedback

I agree on the text issues "text has to be legible and clear first", it is really hard for me to read now...

Re: Update... feedback

I'm on 3GS with os4

I don't want to come across negative, but of all the games I have played on my iPhone this one has the most potential and will soon have copy-cats (if not already). Finacially for Hapyi it helps you to stay ahead.

One other thing to think of is sooner or later everyone who is active will be equal. You'll need to start planning for keeping players entertained. Adding more levels is short term vision.
