hunting limits
At the moment, the game seems to have stagnated, everybody knows to go hunting and its now virtually impossible to find an army to challenge and gain prestige. As such, theres an increasing number of players having pretty much maxed thier armies (due to crop limitations, even with oasis) because of this, players are now off-loading their excess resources in the marketplace at ever decreasing costs.
my suggestion is simple, limit the amount of hunting time.
This can be done in one of two ways:
1) limit each cities hunting time to 20 hours ( 20 hrs used as an example, it could be 16/18 whatever), so that over a 24hr period - you may hunt as many times as you like, so long as the combined hunting time does not exceed the 20hr total, when the limit is reached your armies automatically return to that city. This can be over a rolling 24 hr period (difficult to explain to some, and would possibly have lots of troubles), or the time could all reset at one time-point. The movement of troops in and out of the city would not be an issue as the hunting time is set to each city. The time is calculated for each hunting 'group' from the same city (example 3 groups hunting different areas for 6 hrs each AT THE SAME TIME would still count 18hrs toward the total). once the 20hr limit is reached armies can obviousley moved to other cities to hunt elsewhere.
2) every hunting 'group' has a simple time recall after 10 hrs. simple, this allows people to sleep/work/school.
this would encourage play for members, and would help increase market value for resources.
dont get me wrong, i think low prices is good for the new player just started, but ive started to regularly see resources being traded for .01 or .02 across the board and stone and crops seem permanently stuck at .02 or .03.
the price is low cos weve all got armies already, nobody is buying...
