Electing Experts

I saw alot of debate over elceting and deleting experts and so on. I think this would be a good idea for electing experts, and this way the normal player would be happy with the pick as well.

I think there should be a poll of types, like rounds

ROUND ONE
Get 5 expert nomination from normal players

ROUND TWO
Experts are presented with all the canidates that passed from round one, and pick the ones who move on, 2 expert votes to move on

ROUND THREE
Admin lookes at survivers and chooses experts, if there are too many chosen, only the people left will be sent back to round one and they keep cycling through, with higher requirments each time, (10 normal votes, or 5 expert, and so on) until the winners are anounced and are promoted to expert, this way everyone will have a chance, and it cant be abused. If needed, only round two and three would be repeated so just bieng popular wouldnt come into play, bnut even if it did, they would quickly be weeded out by the experts and ADMIN

Re: Electing Experts

Experts are already chosen from a loosely democratic selection.
I appreciate your idea but I believe the current system, although not perfect, is a suitable system for selecting experts.

Re: Electing Experts

And this would cause an endless supply of experts which is basically too much, and people could easily cheat to vote for themselves

Re: Electing Experts

No it wouldnt be all the time, it would only come up once a new server comes up then stop once a sertain amout is reached. The way now is too confusing, and is hardly a democracy, we have a thread and experts looking for people, but there are so many people that play, but never use world chat but still help people, but since they never use wc the only people that woulod know them are there alliance members if they have any, expert seems like too high of a position to have members elected like it is now, this way would be much harder to abuse.

Re: Electing Experts

I don't know. I prefer the current system to this because the proposed system would encourage campaigning

Re: Electing Experts

Exactly. As the game becomes more and more hot, we need a more effective method to choose experts.
