Archers

Should archers have more range that catapults?

i think they need weapon upgrades for archers like arrows that have fire and have poison tips stuff like that

How about like an option for flaming arrows haha, in great numbers they set the battlefield ablaze causing bonus damage

lol how wld u equip that like a skill or somthing like fire arrows as a new skill haha i do think they need some serious upgrading done with them :)

ya would have to create like an armory or something but that could be considered pointless complication of the game. . .i think overall haypi has found a pretty good balance ofsimplicity for an iphone/ipod game

The way the game works right now, cats and archers serve the same purpose: to blast away your opponent from afar to minimize your own loses. The trick to making them useful without changing the game too much is to improve their stats to the point that cats being better than archers is a question of ambiguity, but not so much that cats become the new archers. I think if Haypi played around a bit with the archers range, attack, and advantages against other units a bit, they could make a unit that was better than cats in some senarios and worse than in others. Perhaps they could have a higher chance of double attack power?

Yeah. A catapult doesnt shoot on its own.

A Great idea but still Cavalry are going to beat Archers and Catapults at higher level and Catapults dominate at lower levels.

So even if you increase Archers Stats they would then have to combat both Cavalry and Catapults to gain some sort of place. Then people would moan about infantry being a useless crop consumption unit.

So although improving an archers stats would be good it would still be harder to balance it out a little bit?
