I couldn't find the thread, but I believe Thomas rejected it a while back, saying that higher lvl players who don't need resources could make practically unlimited money.
Beware the Artesians!!

Not always, if resources are selling at .01 you wouldn't lose the 10% tax like you would if you sold on market

stone is the classic example. it also provides the ability to generate money quickly if its needed rather than waiting to make a sale on the market

Max stone on market for .01 ---- about 4k cash and X amount of people used
Max stone sold to npc ---- 4493 money gained and X amount of people used
Same amount of people, but sold for different amounts and npc sold immediatly... Just clarifying what was said

Sorry, but your statement makes absolutly no sense.
That's like saying inventing the npc to sell treasure should never have been implemented because people sell stuff to themselves on alts. Huh?
This couldn't be abused at all, but as Nathan said, I wouldn't want it implemented unless it cost the same amount of people as it would to put on the market
I read the thread completely wrong

Re: Resources sold to NPC
I think I read this whole thread but I apologize if this has already been suggested... What if players are only allowed to sell a certain amount of ANY resource to NPC for a fraction of 0.01 once a day?? Example: 100,000 stone sold for 0.001 . Sorry if this doesn't make sense or is a dumb idea but this way, people can't abuse it and will think twice about if it's worth it or not.

its good idea but i prefer the idea that it rrequires people to sell to npc therefore reducing the abuse
