Letter alert

How about a "new letter" alert on chat? It could go between send and close, and be a flashing envelope or something.

The letter icon already flashes when you get a new letter.
Most people flip between chat and their main screens for upgrades/check actions for hidden attacks etc so there isn't too much delay between receiving the letter and reading it.
The way it is seems to be good enough without cluttering up the chat screens more?

Well I don't think the chat screen is cluttered and I don't want to check back to the main screen every few minutes if I could just have an alert. But I was thinking there's normally nothing there, but when you get a letter that's when an alert appears, so the chat screen would be the same if you had no letters
