Assigning jobs and Tax Collection

Whats the point of having 1k+ citizens if they are all lazying about?
Wouldn't it be nice if we could assign them to specific tasks such as farmer, scientist, lumberjack, miner, or smither? And the ability to collect rent from them would also be nice. :) I'm sure this has already been suggested but ill throw it out there again.

Re: Assigning jobs and Tax Collection

Well you actually do use them for those things. When you upgrade things or build troops, your citizens are consumed in the process. As for collecting rent, that's wat hunting does and you also get benefits from the upgrades that are basically their "jobs"

Yeah.

It kinda already is.

But...I love the idea of assigning people to different task.

But IMO, the higher level/rank you get, the more those peasants are just going to be used for making your army.

I mean, people get majority of their resources from forts, and some from oasis' and minutely players, so I don't see how in the long run this would be effective.

But in the first couple titles, this would be excellent since you really don't need an army at those levels.

But if we didn't man...all top players would own everyone hehe.

That would be fun.
