Advanced war

I have looked a bit and haven't seen anything about this. I feel that you could advance the war section, and it would do more for the game than anything else. When I say advanced war, what I mean is, currently you have pretty elementary control of your troops. -forward, back, pause, and sort-of target an enemy's troops. (My cats always seems to always go from horses to troops to cats. -versus me wanting it to go from horses to cats. or cats to horses depending on the size of their troops and what they are doing.)

Many players have a substantial amounts of cats. It is difficult to get to those and feel that it should be a bit easier (like having squares and you can move around and they need to protect their cats -more-so than just a red line on the field). OR if I have a ton of cats, why not make it so I can split them to attack multi areas at once.

Finally, why not make a random ground to slow or give advantages to different parts the field. -everyone moves forward and that is it- (Art of War stuff) There is no high ground, or anything that can make it possible for a player to win if they have less resources. Many times in war, you can have a few troops do a lot of damage, if planned correctly. Currently it is all about brawn not brain. Don't take this as me saying 1 guy could kill 10 horses, just think that there should be a way to out-think your opponent.

Re: Advanced war

I like this idea. Currently cats dominate far too easily. It would be nice if you could just run your cavs past everything else if you chose. But with the current system where speed determines how many paces you advance a tile system would be difficult to implement. What I would like to see is that if a unit type is currently engaged with another, they can be bypassed. In other word if your foots are currently attacking their cavs, then your cavs could "sneak" around them to get at the enemy foots.

Re: Advanced war

regardless of time, I think introducing war maneuvers and strategy would not be a bad thing. There are many games out there you could use for examples, and modify them for the scale of a phone app. -I can suggest some if needed
