Questions!

If you have any questions about the game please mail me Stafu1 - I am more than willing to help. And heres more helpful information.

Upon stating the game, on of the most important things to do is upgrade your main building and upgrade your warehouse.

Your first priority is finishing your tasks. There are plenty of them that inform you about the game, and all the options you have to upgrade.

It is important to upgrade your warehouse, when you complete tasks you will be awarded resources, prestige, and/or other things. If you do not have the space to hold the resources you are given, they will disappear and you will not receive them.

It is important to upgrade your main building. Most things you do in Haypi Kingdom involve the use of "citizens/people". They are what your Main Building produce per hour. The more you upgrade this, the more people you produce per hour. The more people you produce per hour, the more troops you can build, and the more buildings you can upgrade.

The most important attributes to put points on and to upgrade are; shooting, marching, and attack. Add attributes to speed mostly and attack second. Upgrade marching shoot and attack as you see fit, mostly attack first.

VIP - Allows you to upgrade three at a time instead of two in all upgrade fields. Upgrade fields include; building, training, Tech, and trap/turret. Usually you are given two upgrade slots per item. When VIP you are given three. Also VIP gives you a no time wait in chat. This means that you do not have to wait the normal 20 seconds that Haypi enforces.

Troops? Okay here's the deal. Everyone has their own troop strategy. The most common one is this; Catapults... Infantry.... That's about it. Until you become a top player, and have many many troops, these are the most important items to a battle. Why is this?... Okay..
Catapults have an insane range compared to all other troops. They have a HUGE ability to not get hit in battle. You upgrade your range so this is true for all battles. The more range you have, the farther away you can hit a target. On the other hand.... Catapults are SLOOOOW.. That's where the speed and Marching come into play. As you upgrade these, your march(attack) times become less. You have the ability to hig the designated target ALOT quicker.
Infantry... are lame... and useless mostly... except they are reeeeallll y important.. Okay here's the deal with these guys.... They are your resource gatherers, and your trap killers. As they don't hold as much resources as a horse does, they are way more expendable. They are cheaper to build and in a decent number, gather a good hunt(see hunt), and bring back a bunch of resources.
Catapults make it possible to gain prestige, take over forts, farm forts, and win battles.

**Hunting and Fort Farming -

BY THE WAY - THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF HAYPI
Whenever you are not using your troops even for a moment, the must HUNT, or they will be found and killed. You cannot afford that!

Hunting is done by having an amount of troops, clicking on the map tab, clicking on an oasis (empty/white if you don't want to annoy someone), click enter, then hunt. You will be given the option to select how many troops you want to send on a hunt. A successful hunt usually has a good amount of troops, thousands, sent to an oasis of high level which has not been hunted on recently. Not all hunts are successful, and not all reward the same. A lot of it is based on luck and you will have to be patient.

Fort farming is the act of attacking a fort for resources. When you have enough troops to do so, you will go to your map, find a brown house looking structure on your map, and attack it for resources. If you have never occupied a fort, three successful attacks will take it over and you will "occupy" the fort. In this case it will generate money per hour by 20, based on the level of the fort. If you have too many forts, you will only gather resources from it. If you attack another persons fort, you can take it over. This goes the same for an oasis or a branch city.

I know there are so many mare ares to explore. If you would like a specific question answered please mail StaFu1 in game(preferable) or here, and I will get to them as quick as possible. Hope this helps!

This is accurate for most players. Although, Sim players (who simply enjoy building their city and milling along) would probably enjoy resource tech upgrades and fortune for their PvE hunts. Furthermore, defensive players might want to look a bit into defense and trap/tower skills.
Its all about how you play, which is why this game is great. There are no 'I WIN' strategies. Some strategies are easier to play with though ;)

Your info about troops is very accurate and all players new to the game should take note.

Also, A LOT of new players have been asking me how to spend their 30 starter coins. The way I spent them was
1 week VIP (10 coins)
1 Gold Nugget for general upgrade (10 coins)
10 coins worth of resources

Some players can also skip the nugget buying and purchase more resources to sell on the market and then purchase a nugget with that money. However this takes time and further crashes the market

Keep up the great work and I'm glad to see more people willing to help the server 5 community.

Re: Questions!

I'm sim player myself, and what I did was upgrade all my resources to 10, and the warehouse to 7 then I started to completely upgrade my warehouse and cranny. Then I did the same with my Main Building and Barracks. I also have high level defenses. Now after I get all my resources to Max then I'll build my army

Re: Questions!

Marcus thank you, I do agree with your statements. I guess in this instance, I am talking about the person who wants to do the "quick build", as we see in world chat.

Shadetale seems to have the basic structure for what Marcus was talking about. It is important to be able to support troop building, and upgrading resources allows you to do so with ease, but it does take a bit of time to get to that point.

I agree with the coins also, I always use 10 for VIP, and the other 20 for resources and hurrying up production. But I am also the player who buys coins, so it works out in the end.

Re: Questions!

I myself don't have the money for gum, let alone coins. But this is the strategy I give none-aggressive coin-less players on S1. It works quite well

Re: Questions!

There's a weakness and counter to all builds as i'm noticing. I've been trying out each build, yes using 20 coins to reset stats. I"m sitting at max speed and split the rest between defense and luck. I"m going with 4 times cavalry than catapults. I used to have a 10 times higher catapult army than anything else except archers. That was fun, but entirely too slow. Then I was going all speed and the rest in luck. Bad thing about a slow catapult army is that when attacking the defender goes first if speed is tied. At least so I hear. I've also heard that attackers do get other special advantages that support wouldn't go into depth upon. Seems support doesn't like answering my million questions. lolz. When i get my motivation up again, i'll create a page of nothing but questions and see what happens. I have a lot of knowledge and knowledge brings questions.... sigh...
