Generally I use cats - arch - cav+inf in hunts - since it's 3 PER CITY or 2 if you don't have VIP/Expert
There is no number of troops for enhancement stones since it's random really... just use A LOT

I hunted thousands of stones and wrote a guide explaining exactly how, it might be of help to some of you guys, the link in my sig should work.

based off of just four enhancements u need an avg of 25 coins even though if they were all 100% u would need 23 and that's where the %s are high
the last enhancement is 34 coins/18%
(1/.18)=times needed to succeed on avg
*34 coins each time=189 coins right there
so dont worry its pretty hard to get all 20 enhancments

But every attempt on enhancing an equipment is not depending on your previous attempts. That wants to say that you never can predict how much coins you will need. Well in fact you can
But our number of attempts are not enough for calculating a real average.
In fact you may say: enhancing is like gambling, based on pure luck. But of course haypi is more fun then a casino
But it's worth to enhance... Your speed is deadly...

As I have already discussed at length, Haypi making more money is a good thing, because it allows them to make the game more fun. :)
