A simple guide for new members

Simple guide,
To start off, click map. Your city is labeled with a green number, that is your level based on prestige.

Now click on general, that is your rank title based on your upgrade and prestige.

To upgrade your buildings in the city view you need 2 things,

1. the required resources. Resources are accuired first by completing the tasks in your task list then clicking collect reward. Then by upgrading your mines in the city, they give more resources per hour based on level also. Other ways to get resources are by occupying oasis's, they give a specified amount per hour based on the level and the level of oasis drops by 1 every 24 hours while it is occupied. You can steal resources from other players by attacking there city and winning. You can also buy resources with gold in the marketplace and you can buy resources with coins from the treasures tab then click buy treasure. Make sure that your warehouse is upgraded enough to hold the resources that you buy.

Also you will need.
2. Enough ppl to complete the upgrade. People are made in the main building, per hour based on your main building level.

In order to gain prestige you can do several things.
1. Upgrade your buildings and mines located in your city view by clicking on them then pressing upgrade.
2.  Building troops, when you build troops in the barracks you earn a certain amount per each troop type.
3.  Attacking other players to earn prestige Is the fastest way to earn prestige, it's also the riskiest, in order to gain prestige from battles you must not lose more troops than you kill. If you attack 10 catapults and you win with 25 catapults but you lose 10 also you will gain no prestige.
4.  Hunting gains prestige when successful but only about .02 prestige per 1 dollar of gold harvested.

As you do the tasks and earn prestige you can upgrade your title until you reach certain ranks then you will need to locate a certain treasure/treasures to rank up. These items can be purchased from other players in the market place or from the treasures tab then click buy treasure, you will need coins to purchase from there. Also if you're lucky you may find treasure in a hunt but it's rare and you will need to be able to hunt enough troops for a long enough time to earn the npc gold price value of the treasure you are hunting for.

VIP: VIP time can be purchased in the main building with coins, this will allow you a total of 3 hunting, 3 attacking, 3 building upgrade, 3 trap/turret build, 3 tech upgrade, 3 troop training slots instead of 2, it also gives you a 50% decrease in time to upgrade techs and removes the 15 second post delay. I hope this helps you all and have a good Haypi experience! If you need anything else mail me or find me in chat.  FastTrain, aka 1million.

Need some slight updates to your Catapult Range...
Otherwise, this is a pretty good beginners guide to the game.

Yes the second guide has been posted and read by many, but thousands have not seen it so if I throw it up there and someone can learn something from it then I think it's worth posting one more time ;)

Re: A simple guide for new members

Unfortunetly no they don't have that in the help tab. And here's some more useful info too.
Advanced strategy
To determine shooting distance, take the distance of the field then subtract 300, lvl ten tech shooting with catapults will give you a 1260 field length, -300 means the cats can shoot 960, the lvl 10 turrets can shoot 1050.

Strategy guide 2
           catapults
Field length   Level  shooting
1100                 0         800
1116                 1.        816
1132                 2.        832
1148                 3.        848
1164                 4.        864
1180                 5.        880
1196                 6.        896
1212                 7.        921
1228                 8.        928
1244                 9.        944
1260                 10.      960
            Turrets
Field length   Level shooting
900                   1       600
950                   2       650
1000                 3       700
1050                 4       750
1100                 5       800
1150                 6       850
1200                 7       900
1250                 8       950
1300                 9       1000
1350                 10     1050
====
This is useful when determining if you will be able to take out enemy turrets or catapults when you are attacking or being attacked, if your shooting tech is lvl 5 your field length will be 1180 when you're attacking with catapults, if the field length that you are attacking is higher than 1180(your number) then you know the enemy will hit you at a farther distance then you can attack from. You can tell the enemy turrets or catapult attack distance by the field length but only if it's greater than your field length.
