Re: Cavs army
Thanks, do you know how to command with cavs?
Re: Cavs army
Just rush forward with them
Re: Cavs army
What troop should I hit first? Should I take infs too?
Re: Cavs army
you hit whatever is the nearest enemy unit, cavs cant choose targets.
Re: Cavs army
Actually, if ur facing only cats, u can wiat for like 3 turns and then rush with max speed, u lose nothing that way, it depends on speed tho lol, and numbers
Re: Cavs army
So should I wait 3 turns and then forward? And can't I choose the troops I want to hit? If I want to hit cats before archers?
Re: Cavs army
u cant becaused cav got a limited range
Re: Cavs army
I think what Uranos is trying to say is, cav (or inf) can only hit the closest unit to them, provided they're in range. This is because although they do have a very limited range (which is modified by the shooting tech), theyvare still considered a close combat unit, and not a ranged unit.
It is highly unlikely that two different units would occupy the same rank on the battlefield, which would be the only scenario where a cav could opt to target a specific unit.
This can occur if you are only using cav and you can't kill all the enemy units in one turn. If this happens, you may then select which unit you'd like to target on your next turn, provided of course, that they haven't been killed by your counterattack.
I'm sure Uranos would have been more clear, but likely he was pressed for time.....
Edit: another scenario where cav could target a specific unit among others is if all enemy units pause and do not move from the back rank. Upon reaching the other end of the field, the cav would be faced with a line of troops to choose from. You may then select a specific target for the cav to attack, but keep in mind, your cav will get to attack every unit in this scenario as they will be afforded a counterattack, so try and target the unit that will incur the most damage to you so as to not allow them a chance to attack you.....hope that makes sense!
