Oasis occupation

I've read most of the guides but I still have questions regarding occupying an oasis. Here goes and thanks in advance:

Once I win/occupy an oasis, do I need to leave the armed forces behind in order to gain that oasis' resources?

Or can I recall my forces once I occupy that oasis but still reap the rewards?

Once I win/occupy an oasis, do I need to hunt in it in order to gain resources?

My net net is how do I ensure I get the rewards/resources from an occupied oasis.

Don't leave troops in the oasis after you occupy it. They are an easier target to kill that way. You don't have to leave them in there or hunt there for the resources to start flowing to your city.

The resources will automatically go to the city where the troops came from that occupied it.
