General Stats?

Hi,

Could someone please help clarify what the general stats actually contribute to?
For example speed = reduced army movement time, faster troop movement in battle?

Also, Marching tech -> what exactly is marching from the two above?

Thanks

Re: General Stats?

Speed and marching both speed up your army's movement speed both on the world map and on the battlefield.

Higher speed also allows your units to make first strike on your opponent.

Re: General Stats?

Speed and Marching doesn't affect movement of troops along the map.

I might be wrong.
But try to figure this out...

For example,
The coordinates your going to is 1 minute away,
infantry: 1 minute
cavalry: 30 seconds
archer: 1minute 1 second
catapult: 3 minutes

It is roughly around this. Just an estimation.

Re: General Stats?

So does anyone else have any info about Speed/Marching? seeing as two of the answers conflict with each other.

Thank you guys for the responses tho! just trying to kinda figure out how to decrease my trip time when sending an army to attack.

Re: General Stats?

Speed definitely change your trave speed on the world map... at 0 Speed it takes 28 seconds for one infantry to travel one grid, at max speed it takes 11 seconds.

Bent is talking about a completely different thing, estimated arrival time is based on your infantry speed and it actually decreases are your speed increases. What he is saying is the comparable speed between units. So when you travel to a square that is estimated one minute away then your infantry will take one minute, but the horse since it's twice as fast as infantry it will take 30 seconds and that ratio is constant.

So if one square is 1 minute away at 0 Speed, it will be 20 seconds away at max speed.
