How do I control the battle?

Ok, so I know that once you start a battle you can command your troops. I tried it but it didn't make eny sense to me and I ended up loosing all my troops . Can someone please explain (in detail) how to command the troops? how to move them, how to attack, when the turn is over, etc.

Also, when you look at your Barracks and is says for example:
~21 INFANTRY
~15 CAVALRY
~20 ARCHERS
~5 CATAPULTS
Is that the ACTUAL number of each? Or is it like 1=10? cuz i spend alot of time and resources building up my troops and it dosnt seem to be going well.

You can move your troops forward one round at a time, or you could go backwards one round at a time. If you hit wait then they will.....um....wait. The default command for troops is forward, so this means that if you go into a battle and dont command it all your troops will be going head on. As the post above me said take a look at some guides to get a better understanding. Also, troops do not equal 1=10 if you have 1 infantry you have 1 infantry.

Yes, select a command then hit send.

simple way to command your troops if you have this following armies:

in command button, wait inf, cavs, archers first,

let your cats do the talking. let your cats kill the cavs, archers and cats if cats is there also..

archers is good to command with ur cats to forward when ur fighting highlevel enemies with max speed and shooting.. you can use archers as a meatshield to protect ur cats. enemy cats will attack ur archers first for sure, since archers have high speed than cats..

You might want to check out this guide. It helps you better understand how it actually works. I have been using this guide and I totally rely on it, so far when I attack people or forts or oasis, this is what I do, and no losses on my troops. Or course people can do it differently and different strategies.

If I see traps or turrets, I mainly send in my infantry as my fodder, never my cavs, or cats. Infantry are cheap to train. So even if it's a big loss, no problem I can attack inactives to make up the resources lost and just build in inf.
