Level 10 Turrets, worth it?

Level 10 Turrets, worth it?

Beside the turret tech is expensive to reach lvl 10, huge resources are also required to build them.

All resources being equal, 8.7mil resources are required to build 15 lvl 10 turrets! that equate to 2278 catapults!

My questions are:
1) Will the turrets be destroyed by high lvl catapults without even having the chance to hit them?
2) If we can hit them, how many catapults will these turrets destroyed before being taken out if being attacked by 5000 cats?

Lvl 10 Turrets Can Kill
255/76/306/85 per turret per round
So yes turrets do help and I think they have a higher range than cats. I would advise having a few traps aswell though, just as a safety precaution.

Level 10 Turrets are Definitely worth it, but only if u have level 10 shooting also. Mine take out 2-3k Cats depending on the person attacking. Turrets however dont do as well against Cavs. I have never had to use my turrets to finish off cavs, so I dont know exactly how much they take out. But an alliance member runs a Cav army, we send him to clear turrets. He says he only looses a few hundred from turrets.

Lvl 9 and 10 turrets with max shooting have a range of 1000 and 1050. Catapults max range is 960. Lvl 10 turrets (with maxed shooting) are by far the best city defense. The first reason being, to take them out, your enemy's catapults have to take a hit. The second reason is, Catapults suffer detriments when attacking Turrets, they will deal 70% less damage to turrets. Third, Your field length will be maximized, at 1350.

As Jex said, they do not stand up well to cavs. People who roll cav armies will have maxed speed, this will allow the cavs to reach your turrets in 2 rounds. Round 1 the turrets will kill roughly 1000 cavalry, round 2, roughly 700 and round 3, roughly 300. With enough catapults blasting away from safely behind the turrets, you will be able to fend off a decent force of cavs if you know what you are doing.

Building up Turrets to lvl 10 are totally worth it, and it gets u a fair amount of prestige.

calv armies are easyest repelled by other calv armies i believe. also if your defending and have max speed pause calv (if u use calv) because then youll et the first hit on the attacker. onyl do this if u have a calv army and have MAX speed

wipe turrets with cav end of story<,< MAX defense and speed attribute
MAX marching turret shooting and attack and DEFENSE and you will lose maybe 200 cav and thats without cats helping;)

If you have level 10 turrets and looking to simply defend your city rather than engage his army, leave 1 troop type out to help maximize damage. The attacker will be forced to fight through 3-4 extra rounds since each type will hold him up.

Ok, so i DONT have max shooting, but my lvl 10 turrets have a range of 1050... Which leads me to believe shooting doesnt affect turrets, and turrets start at 600 range for level 1 and move up to 1050 or whatever
