How to turn off text such as status

Is there a way to do this? The screen is small enough and the text popped up every where every time I upgraded something. I'd like to have this feature turned off so I can see the entire screen.

There is not currently a way to turn this off.

I know i've had so much text on my screen that it eventually just says ... xD
I'd love for there to be a place for building type actions so that an option can appear to not post these things on the main screen. Maybe a flickering red dot somwhere when an attack is coming your way along with the normal push notification would be good.
