how to calculate distance and travel duration?

When i click a field on a map, it shows distance with the time it needs to travel. It usually takes longer than the time it shows because the cats are slow. how to calculate the time it required to travel when i use cat/inf armies????
I don't like my armies take 15 mins or longer to travel because i might forget the battle during the 15 mins and end up my armies get wiped.

Re: how to calculate distance and travel duration?

the time shown on the map is more of a "how far they are" rather than how long it would take troops to get there. of course when you increase your speed that number goes down. that number would only be used if you sent all inf without any army with you. if you send just horses it would cut the time in half so if the distance was 6:22 it would take 3:11 for horses to arrive. but with cats it doubles the time so if it said 4:00 it would take 8:00 for cats to arrive. it doesnt matter if you mix the army together that you send whatever the slowest troop you send will determine how long the attack will take

Re: how to calculate distance and travel duration?

the time on the map, is the time it takes for infantry to get there. cats are approximately 3 times slower. therefore, if the time says it takes 1 minute for inf to get there, it would take an army with any cats in it, 2-3 minutes.

... it does say how long it will take inf to take...

Quit spreading false info, if you don't know don't respond. Cats do not exactly double or triple the time and cavs don't cut it in half. I'm too lazy to put the exact calculations using my iPod but saying it doubles/triples/cuts in half is wrong in almost every case.
