Spread of troop food use

Hi Experts!

I'm just at the stage where I am building an army with my multiple cities. I'm a little confused about where my troops will take their food requirements from.

Is it:
1. from the city they were intially built in
2. From the city they were last physically in
3. spread evenly from the cities
4. spread not-evenly (e.g. proportionate to food income) among the cities
5. none of the above

If it is no. 1 Is there a way to transfer a unit's requirements to another city or identify the units which are taking resources from that city.

From the cities they last touched... So when u dispatch they eat food from the one they were dispatched FROM, then they eat from the one they r dispatched TO once they r there. Also occupying an oasis puts the resource production in that city, so if ur using a branch mainly you gotta occupy a crop oasis from your branch to help with production

So when people have Massive Cat armies they stock the city with food then move them out then break them apart when they get back or just keep topping that city up with food.

As well... i've not had any troops starve yet. Does it happen immediatly when the food out>food in and is there an order in which the troops are disbanded?

thanks lol ,I think they try and spread out the starvation. And you only lose enuff troops to go to 0 crop output. So if your running -100 its not so ba cuz thats like 10 cats, but if you are running -20,000 expect a lot of troops gone. And if they are hunting they get immediatly called back into your city aka prime prey for prestige hunters and yea they will spread their army out so that they lose less crop (especially if they're going on vacation)
