Advanced combat

This is directed towards an opponent who is active during the engagement.

What are the recommended actions during battle with opponents equal or higher who are playing?

Factor in turrets, types of troops ect...

Say I'm defending and have level 10 turrets who should I advance/ wait? Do I go backwards at all?

What about if the scenario is reversed? What would I do?

Re: Advanced combat

If battling about the same or smaller army, Wait: Infantry, Cavalry., Forward: Catapults two times and wait the third. The fourth if the battle is still going, backward. Archers if you have them: forward. When defending aagainst a bigger army with turrets, send you archers and infantry froward as a meatshield.

Re: Advanced combat

Terrible advice. Not one battle will have a cookie-cutter strategy.

Everything depends on your army, the oponent's army, who is attacking, whi is defending, and both your stats.

Re: Advanced combat

Ideally, if all the enemy's troops could be in range at the same time, I'd want to take them out in this order:

1) Cavalry (because they're fast)
2) Catapults (the deadliest)
3) Archers (can kill some of of your troops if there's enough of them)
4) Infantry (only pose a real threat if you are facing so many that they might not all be dead before they reach your guys)

However, as said above, there's no single battle strategy. If your opponent puts all his troops on wait behind a generous amount of turrets, things get trickier. If your range is higher, you should be able to take out everything with minimal losses. But if the other guy has a higher range (or high-level turrets), you could be in for a serious pounding. In that case, you'd want to sacrifice some of your infantry or archers by marching them in front of your cats.

Re: Advanced combat

Matapiojo is correct. There are too many factors to consider. Especially if you're at a level doing battle with level 10 turrets.
