Haypi crashes/leaving app causes "blank screen of death" IOS

Whenever quitting haypi or it crashes on my iPod, no apps are visible on my home screen and the only solution is to restart the divice or opening haypi again (through notification centre past notifications).
Others have told me they are experiencing this too so sort it out ASAP or paying customers like me will find it difficult to play.
