Well these things happen from time to time. It could very well be your device, but it's easy enough to figure out if your signal (wifi or otherwise) is to blame by running another app.
There are so many different issues that could have caused this to happen, I'll only name a few:
-Server related issues (on haypis end), anything from power outages to server overload
-Attacks by by hackers to the server
-The planet mercury in retrograde
-an assortment of god only knows what else
In the end, haypi works hard to prevent these things from happening and will usually try and make amends for any losses that occur due to unscheduled server down time, provided you give them the necessary details.
They usually handle these issues promptly as well, rarely leaving a server closed for more than a few hours.
