Port Train Guide

This is how you set up a port train, I had some people ask me in my alli so I decided to make a picture.

To extend the train when you have a new city, you only need to break one link.

Also, i put it in the picture as "circular" but it needn't be, however that makes the most sense to do it that way. :)

Re: Port Train Guide

Thanks,

also would like to point out, it really doesn't matter what cities you set up the ports to, mine is setup to include my main, as my second sub is right on top of my main to protect it.

Thus i don't even have a port to my second city. This is very common, as you can have 1 less fort than you can have for total cities. Most people keep their armies in their main and coin the crop for easier feeding (as your main cannot be stolen...), so they try and protect it with a sub on one of the sides, if it isn't already, to give them more time to react from warps.

let me know if you have any questions. :)

Re: Port Train Guide

The comment above me is true. It doesn't matter which it's owned which fort as long is its a fort by another sub, you jist decided to go in order. This method is more commonly called "fort-port'ing." Excellent job with the demonstration though. Please Understand that if you it's port a lot for prestige hits, your fort port system will get messed up. Always remember to renew the system when you port (of you decide to keep your sub there.)

Re: Port Train Guide

Legit, I call this a "port train" because the most often used "fort port" is one that is between two cities, and I like to distinguish between that type of setup and one that is used for multiple cities. But you are correct, a port train is a type of fort port. :)
