Numbers

Considering how many times a certain server is merged with others (in s110 case many times) is there a limit of how many times a server can merge? and if there is, what is the number? In some cases there are seemingly too many players in a server. Scroll around on maps, its easily noticeable. Even though it is nice to have enough players to attack and do whatever it is you do, sometimes you just need a more quiet place to work on upgrades and building up your village without worrying too much on others attacking you. Just putting this out for discussion and reply and tell me what you think.

First Off, I think merging was done to get rid of inactive accts. specifically the HA_xxx accts. if this is the case, I imagine servers will merge as necessary to get rid of these inactive accts., ultimately combining into one server. Considering there was around 40-50 servers before they started merging an now there's far less than that.....remember it costs money and manhours to maintain servers so it behooves the company to minimize their spending by merging if they can.

Secondly, I bet if you look hard enough, you'll find vast tracts of empty land on any server you look. Every server map is actually the same, so where players spawn upon creation is likely the same as well. This would mean empty spaces in your server are likely gonna be empty in mine as well.

Well, that's my two bits

they have servers merge so that if half of the players leave the server and quit. they give you other people the play in the game.
they can merge as much as they want to in order to keep the game enjoyable to the players.
