Randomness

Hello

Randomly looking at stats for troops and then noticed that whilst the usual Attack Defence and Speed and Range are talked about, there is one stat i have no idea how it affects the game. And that is life. This is my interpretation of the stats:

If i have attack with a cav 175 and the person im attacking has defence of one inf at 75 then i win?

now factoring in health, does that mean i would need 1.29 cavs to kill one inf or just one vs one? i.e. one cav does damage of 175, this will be reduced to 100 damage after taking into account inf defence and then only do 100 damage against inf's health?

ignore or enhancements, attributes and items in the example above.

Basically, just add defence onto life, and that's how much health a unit has.
You are right with those calculations.
However, certain units have advantages against other units. You can check each unit's advantages against each other here:
