Restoring the Haypi Community

I can't tell you how many times during my 7 months on Haypi I have used the phrase, "I don't play haypi for the game, I play it for the community." I used to think it was only my server that encouraged such great winners, losers and those who never even built a troop. There was something commendable about the mutual respect everybody seemed to have and to give. I eventually moved to a new server and was pleased to find the same thing. A haypi community wasn't unique to one server, but each server has its own community--happy and a family. That's not to say there aren't rivalries, but they're ones that are in good fun. Everybody realizes its a game and so what if you lose a few troops or few pp. Everybody can smile afterward and laugh and continue with their gaming and their lives.

The community is fading. I don't think I'm the only person who has watched friend after friend quit. Not because the game changed because the community did. It seems we've lost trust.

Apparently this all-famous troop glitch has been around for months and support has known for ages. They just never got around to fixing it. With the return of PVP it seems word got out and top armies on all servers multiplied. Instead of being safe with a 400k army and top armies at 800k, they jumped to 800k to compete and 1.2mil to be on top. People were blasting through walls and killing builds because it didn't matter about their troops. They could always remake them. And it seems we lost trust in each other. I know when I see certain people in game I just cringe. No matter what we do support just says "need more evidence." When you ask what kind, they don't respond.

When it comes down to it, I don't care if people have a larger army than me. I can be a fair loser. What I'm asking is for it to be fair. If what keeps the majority of us playing the game is the people as much as the game play, then I ask, why cheat? Why dupe when you can build the same army in a week? Why dupe when you can farm and chat with your friends, your family?

So to the makers--fix your glitch. You've known for months and haven't bothered to fix it. Maybe you see you profit in it. If people don't have to build they'll be more likely to warp and you make more cash. I honestly can't think of any other reason why you wouldn't have fixed it by now. But know that what you may make in a few more 40 coin warps, you're losing in Haypi community. Each day it dissenigrates more and more as the fair players leave because they can't compete with the cheaters. The cheaters take over, you lose your game.

Re: Restoring the Haypi Community

Indeed that happened to us on S107 where an alliance with no community spirit or integrity glitched their units and attack all the mines. All the alliances lost their troops since they were able to double to triple the amount of troops they had.

The result was players involved banned that were active on wc and a loss of trust between alliances and activity on wc. Now S107 is quite dead where there are hours of inactivity on wc due to loss of faith and community spirit :( Is winning really worth dooming an entire server sigh...

Glitchers Are A Big Issue In The Game, I Hope Haypi Can Fix That As A 1st Priority. Next Is Some Moderators On Worldchat...They Have Been Baiting And Just Ruining The Experience For Server 117 As A Whole. Lastly Is The Updates, Many People Don't Enjoy Them. They Should Make More Polls And Share Ideas.

Almost ironic you wrote this post MuMu. Talking about "community" and all

Yea... capital each word...

I recommend sending your grievance to kingdomsupport@haypi.com to help with that problem. Support has really handled the s117 situation well :)

Someone from S42 I knew always did that... I could never figure out why. :P

Anyway, yes, it's really sad - a friend who was rank 1 on S42 and who in my opinion was the best Haypi player of his time got banned recently, and that really lowers the server morale, it seems. :(

So what are you saying, that even though he was a cheater, he should be able to play for the morale? Or was he banned for something else?

In MY opinion, "best Haypi player" is someone who can make it to the top WITHOUT cheating.

Re: Restoring the Haypi Community

If I'm reading it right he's saying that everybody loses respect and hope for everybody when the top player is found cheating. Makes you wonder and doubt about everybody else...and I agree.
