The Art of Commanding

Hell I'd like to know how to Command Catapults Properly :)
So if you can give me some Tips id really appreciate it.
Im going to Set up some Scenarios please let me know hw to command each accordingly.Battle is based on Max Techs/Stats.
Battle1******
30,000 Catapults Vs. 80,000 Cavalry
30,000 Infantry Vs. 20,000 Archers
1 Archer Vs. 1,000 Catapults
1 Cavalry Vs. 5,000 Infantry

Battle 2*******
25,000 Catapults VS. 35,000 Cavalry
10,000 Cavalry Vs. 80,000 Archers
5,000 Infantry Vs. 10 ,000 Infantry
5,000 Archers Vs. 1,000 Catapults
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What im really puzzled on is hw to use a Meatsuit?I have no idea hw to effectively Use it 100% to my advantage.Im use to holding everything on Forts thats about it for my commanding knowledge.I still dont know hw to even take advantage of Catapult falling back Vs. Cavs immunity.

Re: The Art of Commanding

a meat suit is where you send your archers forward, into suicide (so keep the numbers low) that way the cats can move and fire without being attacked. then move the inf forward (again low numbers) and the cats move and fire again. then move cavs and cats forward(keep cavs low) and walla, you have a "meat-shield"

Re: The Art of Commanding

So after i lose my 1Archer,1cav,1 inf do i then retreat my catapults to not get hit by cavs increasing my time by 3 More rounds?making it 6 rounds of Time to attack. But lets say He still has cavs left after i lose meatshield and retreat 3 times .If he gets a hit on my cata with a very small amount will i lose?Like hw many Cavs does it take to beat Catapults once everything else is gone and they att each other "melee"?

Re: The Art of Commanding

It did'nt help me Nathan :( So is this the jist of how meatsuite works?
Round1
Catapults Advance
Archers Advance
Cavalry Wait
Infantry Wait

Round2
Catapults advance
Infantry advance
Cavalry Wait

Round 3
Catapults advance
Cavalry advance

Round 4+
Catapult's fall back to not get hit by Cavalry.

Am i correct in the order?

Re: The Art of Commanding

you are correct in the first 3 turns. but after that, their cavs, and inf should be gone. even if they paused the whole time, your cats should still be close enough to take out any advancing troops, before being taken out themselves.

Re: The Art of Commanding

yeah roughly that would do. the other option is

round 1
inf cavs wait
cavs and cavs forward

round 2
and infs wait
archers and cats forward

round 3
infs and cats forward

round 4
Cats back

round 5 depending on speed

Speed over 100 hexes movement cats backwards if under then cats wait till cavs have destroyed first row of turrets

round 6 cats back
round 7 cats back

something like that
