What's Up With the Non-Existent Attack Warnings?

It used to be that if I was in a city, and someone was attacking, I'd get a red banner saying "being attacked" or somesuch.

Now, I get nothing. I cannot tell if someone is attacking me unless I happen to look at the action list while they are doing so?

Forgot to add. Running Android 2.2 (Froyo) on a Samsung Epic 4G.

I found out that I was being attacked when it was already turn 4 of the attack, because I tried to make a resource transfer, and it told me.

It shows up on the actions list, but does not provide a notice on the screen.

There were three seperate attacks (he warped in, and attacked multiple times).

As to turning off notifications, how would one do this? How would I check?

I would note that my phone was muted, but to the best of my knowledge I have not disabled notifications

Let me add, I don't get the red countdown banner in game that I used to, nor do I get the currently attacked countdown banner.

If I am not running the game, I get the notice in my alerts section of my phone, but if I'm running the game, nada.

for the notification, please:
a. make sure your andriod firmware version is updated to 2.2 or above
b. make sure your cellphone is registered with a gmail account. You are unable to receive the notification from google notification unless you've linked your gmail account to that particular device. Google notification only sends push notification to gmail user.
c. Some cellphone service providers might register with google notification for their users by using the same gmail account. Google notification will automatically regarded those email addresses as the only one email address.
Besides the mentioned situations, you should also make sure the device is registered,please follow the steps to register your gmail account to your android device:
a. confirm there's SIM card in your phone and wifi/3g etc. Internet connection available
b. Please go to Menu->Settings->Applications->Manageapplications->Google Apps-> Cleardata
c. then Go to settings->data synchronization, you may follow the instruction and resiger your google account with the phone

My phone is registered with a gmail account, it HAS to be in android, and this account is the one that is used on my registration with Haypi. I have confirmed this.

I would also note that I get notifications when the game is shut down but nothing of any sort (except for the easy to miss when I'm holding reserves hunting from various cities activity list) while I am in the game

Done. I have all of that.

Well, first, there is no "Google Apps" under Manage Applications. Are you suggesting that I clear data from Gmail, my Gmail accounts, Google Partner Setup, Google Search, Google Services framework, etc.?

Second, if I understand what you are suggesting, that I delate my existing Gmail account from my phone, it would Wipe my phone completely.

I'm assuming that you use iOS, and so you are unfamiliar with the eccentricities of Android.

I assume that "resiger" you mean register.

Let me be clear here, I do get push notifications, but only when the game is NOT running. When I AM running the game, I get nada, zip, nothing.

3 Times over a 15 minute period?

This also happened a week ago, but it was an attack that was 20 minutes away when I saw it on my activities list, and so was able to call back all my troops and spring an ambush.

Let me be clear: I get notifications when the game is shut down, but inside the game, I get nothing.

To the best of my knowledge, this has been the case since at the upgrade to version 3.
