Cats versus cavs fail

Hey I was fighting cavs with cats, and my cats were moving backward but still the cavs hit my cats, how could that happen?

Really? I tested it by attacking a fort and an oasis and on both occasions it worked, so is it only when attacking people?

Who said that fort and oasis are the same as a City?
