Single hunt or split groups?

Guys,

Is it better, in general, to send a single large group (say 8000 inf and 2000 cats) out on a 8-12 hour hunt, or split that into 2 groups of 4000/1000? Will the one large group get a better chance of getting items, or would the combined output of the two groups be best?

Combined efforts are better.

like Sylarius said combined efforts are better but then you have to factor in what if you get nothing from hunt so its a 50/50 chance i like combined for better treasures etc.... but if your troops are split up in different cities i would say whatever troops are in that city normally hunt with that it also helps with troops split up in different cities so you cant be starved as easy

Combine effort always best solution and its 9-12 hours for hunt.

Also biggest tip is to make a sub in the middle of nowhere and make that your designated hunt sub. Try to amas a large 100k infantry army there and send for extended 20+ hr hunts which will result in crowns sceptors lvl 15 items etc

I send everything together..

When I first started, everyone told me to send inf & cav in one group, n arch & cats in another.. Considering that inf & arch have similar speeds, I didn't do that..

If I had more time I'd be sending 3 group:
Cav
Inf & arch
Cats..

But that's just me, and I don't really have time for all that so just one beeg hunt

Depends on what you wish to get.

Combined efforts render better treasure results. No doubt about it. However, separate hunts can render more gold results in total.

I always split mine.
You seem to get more gold/silver boxes and enchancement stones.
Split up the differant types aswell. (when you go to battle normally the whole army moves at the speed of the slowest unit - I imagine it to be like that for hunting)

Eg 10k cav for 8 hours may get around 8k money.
3 x 3.3k gets about 4k each

Once I tried to hunt big stuff. I made 180k inf and hunted for 8-12 hours.
Really doesnt work (not worth crop) I managed 2 medals and afew lvl7 equiptment for small hunts. Everyhunt over a certain amount of troops/time just turned out as a gold box (nice but not worth the effort)
