a few questions

I am fairly new to this game and I have a few questions and I would GREATLY APPRECIATE some answers for my questions.

1.) when I am in the barracks and looking at the unit stats it all makes sense EXCEPT for "overload" what is overload?

2.) I LOVE the scout feature but at level 3 I would expect for the predictions to be accurate since I spent so much money upgrading. The predictions will say there is "several" of a certain unit but when I go to attack those supposed "several" units is really about 50.....i just want to know at what level are the scout predictions accurate?

3.)I understand how to increase my hourly resource income but what I don't understand is the subject of hourly money....my stats display I get 115 money an hour but I don't notice a difference in my money from day to day...is there a way to increase my hourly money income or is this just a tease?

4.) I understand the benefits of occupying the different oasis types but what I don't understand is what the benefits of occupying a fortified outpost are.

These are all the questions I have at the moment but when I do have other questions I will post them.

Re: a few questions

Hello , it looks like you understand the game better than a lot of beginners , questions 3 and 4 are tied together , you increase your hourly income of money by occupying forts , for a level 1 fort I would suggest 250 catapults,
Overload is to do with hunting , infantry and horses have bigger overload and therefore can bring back better things from hunts
Ah yes and to increase accuracy of scouting go to the technology centre and upgrading scouting ! The higher the level the more accurate it is
Hope this helps

1. Overload is how much a unit can carry in resources after a battle. So 1 infantry can carry 80 total resource per unit.

2.
Several 0~9
One or two dozen 10~24
Dozens 25~49
Scores 50~99
One or two hundred 100~249
Several hundred 250~499
Hundred 500~999
One or two thousand 1000~2499
Several thousand 2500~4999
Thousands 5000~9999
Over 100 hundred 10000+

3&4. Forts give hourly income, I don't know how you have 115 per hour, because an occupied fort gives 20x it's level in money per hour. So a level 2 occupied fort would give you 40 money per hour.

Re: a few questions

For 2:
If your scouting level is higher than the person you are scouting then you will receive an accurate report, (If you scout a ha_a you will get an accurate report since most ha_as have level 0 or level 1 scouting.)

If your scouting level is the same as or lower than the person you are scouting then you will get a vague report, (If you scout the highest level person in your server you will most likely get a vague report since their scouting level will most likely be higher than or the same as yours.)

Scouting an oasis will always yield a blank report regardless of your scouting level.

Re: a few questions

Awesome! The 2 of you RULE! I appreciate the help very much! I will refer back to this thread many times, especially for the unit counts for the different predictions in a scout report. Just two simple questions that I have thought of.

1.) now that I understand the overload concept I want to know if overload will combine with fortune when I send out my troops on a hunt. If overload is how much a unit can carry back AFTER battle then I don't think it combines with fortune but I'm always looking for a better way to get a successful hunt.

2.) in my task list the objective to upgrade to level 3 looks like it requires a gold bar. Is there a special way to obtain one? I really don't want to spend about 35000 money to buy one or try my luck with treasure chests.

Re: a few questions

It is believed overload helps hunts along with fortune (but nobody knows the exact formula, so it's an educated guess) but typically cav and inf harvest better hunts than arch/cat

Ways to get a gold bar (nugget) are Hunting and get lucky, buy with 10 coins from npc, buy in the market, find in a lvl 2-3 chest, find in a gold/silver box.

You can try any of those ways, if you are thinking about buying one with 10 coins I would recommend buying 20k resource with 1 coin and sell the resources in the market (assuming you have extra people) and resource price is .20 unit price or around thereif unit price is too low you are better off buying with 10 coins :)

Re: a few questions

Re: a few questions

I have another question! How do I gain sub-cities? I know about the occupy an oasis and a fortified outpost but I got to thinking about having another legit city and not just an outpost. Is this even possible? I don't know what all these "ha_a########" city infestation is all about, I meen there is dozens of them virtually inactive and all at level 0......im not sure but an explanation that i can come up with is for other players to take over????

Re: a few questions

When you first download the game your name is Ha_a######, once you finish task 5 you get to choose your own name, so they are just inactive players.

You get sub cities every time you upgrade your title rank up (baron = 1 sub, viscount = 2 subs, earl = 3 subs etc)

You can get sub cities by lowering someone elses sub to 0 and having room for one (every attack lowers loyalty by 10, so you will usually need a friend to help). Or you can click on an empty field and create a city from scratch
