I Don't think the way they did it is a smart move. If you raise rates you keep customers happy if you give a freebee along with it !

Haypi released 3.0 :/ but it's probably a mistake between the exchange rate...

I'm pretty sure this isn't Haypi's fault. It's Apple.

To be honest, the exchange rate is controlled by Apple rather than Haypi.

Why does the price have to be exchange rate linked? Can you not simply have a fixed price in each country therefore avoiding these issues.

This would allow you to:

A) Phase in smaller price increases to combat massive price hikes such as this
B) Demonstrate that you value your players (and the people who pay your wages)

Secondly, what will happen as the GBP strengthens against the USD (as is likely) will there be a reduction in price to us Brits or will you just take the opportunity to increase profitability.

Because haypi use iTunes payment on the iOS meaning that they have to comply with the rate set by apple. Hence the increase

Surely Haypi can charge what they want for their products across any part of the world? Especially to take into account local economic conditions.

To make it fair. The current exchange rate indicates the value of money in different countries currently 69p=$1 and last week it was 59p=$1. That's just the crazy world of having an international business. If you don't like it don't pay for it but currently that's the value of your money

Thanks Nathan. Fortunately I run an international business so I'm well aware of how exchange rates work.

If the exchange rates were followed, why aren't the prices all over the place? $1 = £0.61 is the current exchange rate so therefore the price of a super pack should be $50 == £30.50 (or £4.49 less than it actually is). An ultra pack at $100 == £61 (or £8.99 less than it currently is).

I'm sure you can see that this clearly is not a 'fair' system as our American friends are paying substantially less per coin than we are in the UK.
