Attacking stradegies

What's YOUR strategy? My strategy is attack with 1 troop first to get a taste of what's there, and if you have better or more troops, horsemen, archers, or catapults, ATTACK!

My strategy is scout send 1 inf if I don't know their speed to determine their shooting range wall defences and speed then attack if I can win

Dont send one inf unless you know they are gone and wont be able to log on, otherwise you miss the chance of being able to get a hidden and not give em a notifcation.

I hit them with my army and kill their army, thats my strategy, its worked very well

Yea nick's right if you attack once you get rid of all surprise. Maybe trying getting lv 10 scouting or having a friend scout for you. or scout turrets a few days in advance if your trying to farm them.

I researched level 10 scouting MONTHS ago

Yeah, level 10 scouting is important to have early on, that way people can't see your resource levels (its really easy to crop when you know how negative someone is)

Plus lvl 10 scout costs only approx 500k money, which is half of what most other techs such as shooting and crop cost

I find with traveling long distances sending a scout infantry really is counterintuitive. It also doesn't work very well for warp attacks.

Here is what I suggest:

Utilize your favorites list! Pick an opponent and research them! It may take days, or weeks if the player is smart, but figure out where they're from, when they go to hit forts, and try and scout their army in the process.

Once you have their army size, as well as a decent picture of when they are online, just make sure your enhancements, or army is suited to the occasion.
