Forum Profile-Avatar

I've seen on other people forum posts they have avatars. I have tried to go profile->edit avatar and then I click the the question mark (?) in the square but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Your avatar is the image that can be displayed beneath your username in every post you make. The limit for pixels in the image you can use is 90x90. You may wish to upload an image directly from your computer, however you need to use a link to a pre-existing image on the web. A way to actually upload your own picture, however, is to go to ImageShack, where you click “Browse,” select the file of the right dimensions that you desire, and click “Upload Now;” from the page that subsequently loads, copy the “Direct Link” box that it gives you and paste it into the link box in your Control Panel. You can leave the dimensions boxes unchanged as long as your image is at most 90x90 pixels, as it will automatically fill them in once you click Submit.
