Favourite troop type

Cavs are the most useful for me. They have the second best offense, the highest defense, highest overload, and highest speed. With a lost of cavs there is no need for a lot of infantry, just enough to deal with traps. I carry 500 infantry and 1 archer for traps and an extra turn, the rest are cavs and cats with about a 2:1 ratio of cavs more than cats.

Cats are the second best for me but they are one dimensional as they are really only good for attacking.

Cavs only vs all 4 army types will still win if done properly, I've done it. But if you're facing 4 types of armies, why not bring 4 of your own even if you are using mainly cavs? I used 500-16k-1-8k for a while with good luck, now I use more cavs.

Could someone post tips on how to use archers properly?

I just haven't been able to find a good way to leverage them. They just seem to be in charge of taking casualties, and infantry can do that same job for cheaper.

I want to like archers. I think I haven't figured out the trick to them.

just calv vs just cats if there are 1.7x more calv then cats calv will win every time (supposeing if perfect stats and max techs for both) if just calv are attacking someone who has max turrets ifn calv and arch along with cats depending on numbers like before calv may win i est for this you will need 3x or more calv then cats to win this. i personally i use all units except archer (except for shield) and it seems to work.

Hands down cats for there range and better for gaining prestige in battles.
Cav for there speed, def. And attack. Best for traps and those pesky lvl 10 turrets. Not very good for prestige though.

Calv make it easy to kill troops fast and gain ur ressources back fast from farming inactives and getting forts, oasises exc.
Cats Give u minimal losses for max pres gain which helps alot but is slow

The combo is a kill. calvs take hits while cats pwn from the sidelines

well as u can see my on another pot of mine I'm asking about the cv bow combo. If u can command well and know how and have the right stats to give u the edge cav + bow combo kicks buts. Bows for their range and r faster than cats and cav for other stuff. U can use xx amount u can't remember how many to clear lvl 10 turrets (can some1 plzz quote the number plzz wth maxed stats) but u do need good stats for that. But for cav+bow to work to it's full efficantly u need a good 15k+ of bows and atleast 28-40k+ cav. Hope this help pm if it doesn't
