Re: Hunting

You will not see a difference between the two with small armies. You'll have to start getting into the 15K+ for Cav, or 50K+ for Inf to really see a jump in results.

If you are barely entering the 1,000 with either, don't wrack your brain over it.

exactly... you need to have a significant force to be able to figure out any good trends... problem is that you will never be able to tell whether or not the oasis your hunting was hunted by someone else within 24 hours

Re: Hunting

then simply find an area with no one there and itll be perfect althought i doubt there are many places like tht might as well hunt low lvled oasis since most ppl would hunt a high lvled one

Re: Hunting

Everybody starts with 20 points in fortune as default. What I means by 20+10 simply means that I spent no points in Fortune, and I have a LvL 10 ring with gives me +10.

Re: Hunting

I messaged support about this issue a while back and they said that the algorithms are always changing, but the following will always be true (paraphrased from here out):
The more troops, the more your troops can bring home.
The better your speed the more your troops can obtain.
The longer you hunt, the mor eyour troops have time to obtain, if they can carry it.
8+ hours bring a chance that you will have an extraordinary hunt, if you can carry it.
If an oasis has been hunted in recently, you will likely get little to nothing.
Greater fortune brings better hunts
Oasis's go up in level by 3 each day, aka 0,3,6,9,2,5,8,1,4,7,0. But the level of oasis has nothing to do with the outcome of a hunt only the last time the oasis was hunted in.

1. This should answer most of these questions. Has anyone determined yet if it's speed added from all units together or if it's the highest units speed yet?
2. I heard a rumor that 25k is the highest hunt and that anything over is automatically an item. Can anyone confirm?

Re: Hunting

Did testing and mechanics using coins to change fortune from lowest to highest to judge results

1. Hunting 9-12hours Will help you with gold. 12+ hours you get better treasure and items (FYI for higher items you will need 50k inf)

2. The ratio is true having 4 inf that equal 1 cav is better. I had 100k Infantry hunting netting insane hunts while using 25k Cav did net me some good hunts after doing 300 hunts I found Infantry always had best result

Now people ask me if I figured out the perfect formula to hunting to which my answer is.... NO! lol There is no exact answer! Compare hunting to like a slot machine. It all depends on luck to win but you can always increase your luck and the amount of bars of screen through different things. When it comes to hunting send as many inf as possible, hunt in an area that has never been hunted, and follow formula for optimal results

PS: If you leave hunt for more than 10 days they will automatically return

Re: Hunting

See, now that is good intel.

This should mean that Hunts add up the total Speed and/or Overload from all your units. This decisively makes Swords the absolute best hunters in the game.

Great findings, Rico.

Re: Hunting

Good stuff Rico. Two questions:
1. When you say insane hunts, whats the type of treasure and/or item level you've obtained with these ratios?
2. Do you hunt with only cav/inf and send cats on a separate hunt?
